The Second Hospice at Chinglepet in South Madras, Chennai

We have started construction of the second Hospice not far from Chingleput, only 90 minutes drive away from Chennai airport. 16 acres of land was given by a kindly soul where we hope to start by July 2011,taking in 500 patients from city of Chennai. Situated 16kms.close to Vedanthangal, a world famous bird sanctuary, the second Hospice will be a sanctuary for homeless destitute who otherwise die on the pavements and gutters, uncared, unloved and un mourned.

The cost of the project is €300,000. It costs 1Euro a day to look after one person.

The Trust also runs a Welfare Centre to provide skill training and regular work for some twelve people disabled by blindness and polio. They make and sell Hosts for the Holy Mass, and candles for which they get a living salary every month.
